I'm pleased to report, I was a member of a cross-party group of Councillors that has recently met with Southend's CCTV operatives to obtain a detailed specification and cost for the reinstatement of a CCTV system in Rayleigh.
Southend Council has been very accommodating in their help and advice and the following discussions have invited all of our Town Councillors to visit the control room at Southend to demonstrate the system that we could be investing in on behalf of our residents.
I personally, felt the meeting was very positive and I look forward to discussing the system further with other Council members in due course. Once there is further information available I will update residents accordingly. In the meantime, if you have any questions please feel free to comment below.
